This makes no since at all. Programming is programming. FFXIV uses the Crystal Tools game engine. I'm assuming the core is in C with all plugins written in C++ and other languages.

The server related issues he mentioned probably does have to do with using old servers, and how many server requests are made to do simple things like change gear. My guess is that will go away, and they will upgrade the servers.

They also launched with too many worlds.
