    This is a perfect example that was created yesterday.

    If you search 'Mail' in the system, you get '7' individual threads about mail / delivery boxes, and '5' separate pages of thread results where mail is mentioned. NO HOMEWORK DONE = FAIL

    I totally agree with you.. I need this system real bad.
    Right now I have to use 2 PCs to trade item between my main account and other buddy account I got from CE.
    And it's a pain that we can only trade for 4 items... this make trading whole items in bag to mule will take forever.

    I don't understand why SE neglect this basic function and leave it like this for almost 1 year now.. ( 5 more months lol )

    At this rate... I think this game will be "playable" in next year ... or more.. for worse case.

    We spoke with Yoshida about implementing a mailbox/delivery system for you guys. He wanted to assure you that of course this is being looked into, but it will take time to implement because it is difficult to execute without improving the server-related issues first.

    I think most of the players here would really like to understand how your architecture is built, or at the very least why it doesn't allow to do something that seems relatively easy in everyone's mind.

    Sounds like somewhere i used to work, the architecture was probably built half assed and full of spaghetti code. That's the only reason i can think of, they managed it in XI after all.

    They did indeed manage it in 11 but it was extremely limited and you couldn't send more than or recieve more than 8 items at a time.

    Hopefully if they do implement mail boxes it is something robust which allows 100's of items to be sent and received.

    Send 100s of items At once!? I don't think that's such a good idea.

    Other games do this pretty easily whats up with the servers?

    Talking about server issues. Did Square Enix use new servers for FF XIV or did they just recycle old decommissioned FF XI servers? Judging by how poor they perform i would suggest they did recycle servers....

    Wouldn't the servers be less stress-loaded if it didn't required to speak with the player's client for every single little change?
    For example, I change equip new pieces of armours or set new skills, it needs to send a request to the server, then the server probably says yes or no, then I can equip it, then it seems to make the change. Would it be simpler to just advise the server that I made the changes and put the limitations on the client itself. If someone hacks the client and equip something he shouldn't, only then would the server need to communicate back with the player's client. Equipping, for example, would be faster and smoother, while taking away some useless communication stress with the server. Apply that to various other aspect of the game and the servers might be more stable, or at the very least, our gaming experience will be smoother and more seamless.

    And now, I expect to have people whining about RMT and hackers taking advantage of this. My reply is, it is still verified by the server, like it is now, but the client just doesn't wait for it and the server will know if it's hacked or not.

    Anyway, just a thought, it was bugging me earlier... sorry. I would be happy with a smoother management of my character.
