Clearing the Hive

Hi there!

I'm looking for any information on this particular Fate. I believe it would happen in the South Shroud north of Quarrymill but I've never actually seen it. Please keep in mind that I'm not referring to either Keeping the Hive or Defending the Hive, this is specifically for "Clearing".

If I remember correctly from phase 3 doing this fate, it's a fate that is situational. If Keeping or Defending fails then the wood wailer's npc's die and it's taken over by redbelly npc's. I think it's redbelly anyway. From there the next fate in the area becomes Clearing the Hive as the goal is to recapture the area.

It's actually a fairly difficult fate if you do it at appropriate level and aren't super zerging it. Because of the way all fates in general are getting super zerged it's unlikely you'll see this fate even pop up as long as current Fate spamming stays around, the other Fates just aren't going to be failed.

I wanted to bump this thread because we understand that due to the different phases of the Redbelly Hive FATE it's difficult for players to even encounter "Clearing the Hive" and earn the "Boughbury Burning" achievement. In patch 2.1 we will be making it so you can receive this achievement by getting the highest rating possible for either "Clearing the Hive," "Defending the Hive," or "Keeping the Hive."

Also besides just pure satisfaction of physically doing this FATE, there is no reason you would actually want to do it, It is tough to do with a group of 8 as it stands and it gives you about 1/3 the XP that defending the hive gives you. I would think that since it is harder to come across it would give you more XP or maybe extra XP for being able to "Clearing the Hive," "Defending the Hive," and "Keeping the Hive."

I was finally able to get this achievement some days ago, because I was playing during the early hours (GMT). There were less players around, so they failed to Keep the Hive. Just because of that. Other times, I kept /yelling to stop targetting the larceners for the achievement, always with stupid results.

I'll try in the wee hours for my region, then- and hope that I get lucky.
