Change Black Mage Gear to traditional colors.

I love the current Black Mage AF, and it has been this way since the job was introduced in 1.0, but why do other classes get traditional colors and not Black Mage?



This has been bugging me for a long time. Lalai looks so awesome.

I prefer the colors it has now, really don't like that one Lalai has.

Just think of the colors representing the destructive powers a Black Mage has.

I also thought the black palette swap was silly and completely unnecessary, but what's done is done.

Here's a bigger issue. White Mages robe has a hood. WHY CAN'T WE WEAR THE HOOD.

Or atleast remove the hood from the design cause just looking at it seeing it and knowing I can do NOTHING with it makes me angsty. LOL

The ability to *customize* your artifact armor's color would be even nicer.

Then you could have the awesome, more traditional Black Mage colors if you wanted. (VIVI!!!!!)

This would also let players keep a shred of individuality while enjoying their artifact armor.

I was skeptical when clicking on this, but yeah, I certainly agree that I like Lalai's palette. Regardless, I don't expect it to change. You can't please everyone. Maybe we'll get a dye option in the future, heh.

And regarding the WHM hood, yes, agreed. This has actually been brought to their attention before, and we were given some response along the lines of it being technically difficult to do. That being said, we have helms with movable visors...

I agree with the OP. Black Mage = Blue and Yellow if they are going to be dressed in an iconic style. A lot of the things in this game are pulling from older games, it ignore something as Iconic as the Black Mage hat and robes is just...off.

Maybe they are wanting to make you look more like one of those BLMs in FFIX? With the black faces and yellow eyes? I wonder if you could dye that armour :/.
