Why can't we have a real queue system.

It seems to me most people would be happy if they could just hit a button and walk away.

Queue's are something people wouldn't be thrilled about, but at least they could go about their day (work, school, family etc...) knowing they'll be making progress toward logging in.

Same reason why people want AFKers out. LOG IN AND FORGET IT!

Same concept, lol, except it takes more effort (getting up when NA is asleep).

AKA, SE's NA servers doesn't want more people in because it's capacity is next to nil. It's like trying to fill a gas tank with a funnel, but your just wasting more gas because you've already topped it.

Not even close to the same concept.

Using your analogy, it would be like a pumping gas, without the fancy little thing "auto-fill" handle, that lets me go inside and take a piss while my gas is filling up.

Not sure when they invented those things in gas stations, but they're pretty common now.

I shouldn't have to stand by my car while pumping my gas, and shouldn't have to sit around my PC trying to login to a server.

Because their login servers are so garbage they can't handle everyone sitting in a queue. Like my dad always used to say, "Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance"

Queue is software development 101..
Along with timeouts.. like no action taking timeouts...

These aren't new concepts they are basic understandings for decades...

Having 1 billion "login" attempts an hour is idiotic when it can be reduced to maybe 100k queues.
