I just don't understand. You don't want us to have a queue, well, alright, if you insist. But what's with this 'Please spam the button and create further strain on our already failing servers' method? It seems like the worst possible answer.

Allow me to propose another. You click connect, it detects the 'server is full' message, it does not show this to the player, instead it goes to a nice neutral screen and says 'Waiting for available space on your server', then it quietly, in the background, does a fresh attempt to connect once per 10, 20, or even 30 seconds. It does this until it succeeds in connecting, makes a happy noise(maybe a moogle or chocobo whistle?), and you get to play, yayyyyy.

You don't have to code a queue, and your login servers don't get hammered by angry people mashing 0 with all the fury their jilted hearts can muster. As a programmer, I feel pretty certain that this is not difficult code I'm proposing. What do you think?
