Idea for those fed up with issues

Hello all,
First off, I'll start by saying that I was a beta tester, continued to EA and experienced the multiple errors during that week. Now, I'm locked out of my account due to registering my key to a new service account. After hours of trying to get some decent customer support Thurs-Sat, I've basically given up on trying to get anything out of SE other than my key in one or two weeks.

However, here's an idea-

IF SE does indeed create some new worlds / servers, I'd like to start new and on a fresh start with my 30 days on them. Why? Well, I loved the feeling of 'being in the race' of moving towards end-game content. That's why many of us invested in E/A. Personally, I was a crafter and was LOVING the markets and competing with some other serious crafters to put out HQ items. I would contact every player who bought my item to tell them that I would slot their equip, craft them new HQ items, etc. and it was fantastic- my server really felt like there was a community.

Now that it really seems like we're not going to get any service for NA players until next week, perhaps even Thursday, I was wondering if there are any other players who would join me on the potential new server.

This is simply an idea, not a complaint or a pity monologue. Just post here and we can either organize a FS or perhaps an FC if you guys / gals are really on board.

Honestly if it takes until Thursday to fix this you are going to be hard pressed to find many people who stay with this game. I work in IT and I can imagine the response my companies customers would have for extensive errors lasting this long. I wouldn't have to worry about working Tuesday as the company would collapse under this massive failure. I am tired of you glass half full types, this game is amazing. It is probably the first game since WoW that had any inkling of staying power, but SE throws it away with horrific customer service, false promises, and incompetence on a level not seen since the first MMO. To top that off there is 0 communication from SE on what they really intend to do to fix this issue. Step by step repairs of the log in process are not going to be sufficient to get this derailment back on track. SE was gifted something that gamers rarely give, a second chance. The truly sad part is they pissed it away, if I was head of SE I would be firing my CIO, CEO, and CTO all in one fell swoop. IF it was 1999 or 2000 I could understand, but its 2013. 2013 and we still have companies as big as SE releasing garbage and refusing refunds. Game Over.

Good thing I had found a way to not actually fall into the same mistake as others. I found it rather strange to 'create a new service account' when everything I did was already on the account I was shown in the main screen so I tried the bonus option. Good thing I did.

Good luck with your race, as for me, I like to take things slow. And pretend I'm living in that world, hohoho.

Hope all goes well for you moving forward though. I'd hate to see a fellow tester go up in flames in front of me. :P

Not a chance. If it takes until Thursday that's way too long. And I'm still adamant that before they even think about new servers they need capacity on the servers they already have. They oversold and fell WAY short of the server size they need. That needs to take priority above even in-game issues. No one wants to play a game they can't log in to. Say what you will about 1.0 being a piece of shit, it was at least a piece of shit you could log in to.

I'll go wherever there's a stable server to play on. Even if it were to mean starting over. But I'm not starting over until I'm sure there's a stable server available.

I'd be down. I'm in Odin atm with a lancer. Went to 10 on crafting and I love it. I can't log in atm as I can't see the NA/EU server list, and before when I could there was a 25 person queue and instead of waiting, it dropped me with error 1017 and just went to that after. I am DOWN to going to a low low population server with a small group to avoid these issues if this is going to be consistantly like this. I'd give SE shit, but it looks like there's enough people doing that. I will agree that this is currently the best MMO on the market imo. I've played them all pretty much. Just a shame they expected it to flop and didn't prepare.

Never really thought of that...well tbh I have rather few options so I'll just wait and see what happens.

Great to hear, I'll keep checking this thread until Wed/Thurs to see whats up. Hope we can really build a community on the new server.

I do love the idea, but saying that, my problem is I'm not this sentimental in real life (believe me!) but when I play RPG's I play them very sentimentally.

The problem for me is I've made my three characters, one in each town, for each grand company, for each server group and for each Discipline of the land etc etc, the classes and jobs and skills will be doled out according to their personalities as I see fit.
Creating a new one would be like having a 4th unwanted child (lol, if you'll excuse the rather extreme metaphor). For the moment, and up until "End game" I don't want any new characters, I just want to get back to my experience of the game as I plan to play it.
I have my Lalafell Mage, my main guy, on the EU servers who'll do all the magic, he might fish and be a gold smith,
My Roegadyn warrior on the NA server who'll be most of the tank and warrior classes, and probably cook and mine.
And my Kick ass Hyur girl on the Japanese server who will be an archer and Lancer, kinda Freya meets Fran, except human and unassuming.
I'm currently deciding wither or not she or my Roedagyn'll get to be pugilist, wither or not the Roedagyn will be both fisher man and miner, and my Mage will not have any discipline of the land, and wither my mage or my Hyur girl gets to be the alchemist.

There is one or two jobs I fear won't suit my characters, but I'm perfectly willing to wait a bit to explore them, in time to come Yoshi-P and the team may implement expansions of new towns, new classes etc, and when I feel there is enough holes that need plugging I'll create a new character that suits the classes and jobs I've thus far not experienced.

One idea for the Bard job was to create a little lalafell version of Nobuo Uematsu going around playing song's 'n' stuff (lol)
but then I figured that was a little too two dimensional and novel.
