Still getting asked to heal dungeons as a summoner.

I experience this several times on my server(Diabolos). I join a group for dungeon/guildhest and they expect me to heal the entire way. Its getting really old now. Even in duty finder queue summoner/arcanist are shown as dps roles.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Summoner has quick cast Ressurect and Physick while it is yes a caster Dps role, if throwing a heal or raise or two would help the party win, why wouldn't you?

Exactly what HiirNoivl said. Maybe healing all the way through the dungeon is slightly too much, but a summoner with Quick-Cast Resurrect helps the dungeon in many ways you would't know.

As I said in my first post, some people expect me to heal the entire way as in the whole dungeon with the majority of me activity focused on healing. Of course I heal in situations where party members need it. I'm saying that there are people who expect summoner to be a purely healing role this late in the game at level 36.

never had any issues with people telling me how to play my class. But i have rezed during a fight when tank or someone died. Same with tossing out a heal or two if someone gets below half hp

Tossing out the occasional heal here and there is one thing. Being asked to be the main healer in a dungeon as a dps (which is not a healer) is a bit ridiculous.

If there is a healer in the party you don't need to heal. Being quick on your toes in a desperate situation might require you to do something more supportive such as heal or raise, but if they are telling you to, just tell them that's not the role you signed up for. They honestly shouldn't be making you do that anyway. If they need 2 main healers in a 4 person party someone is not doing their job right.

You obviously don't care to read the OP or don't care to give a response related to the OP.

^This. Sounds like a party you shouldn't even be in to begin with. Did you stay in any of these parties? Wondering what the end results were.

lol just like in FFXI. Poor summoners. In XI it was because their MP pool was massive, in XIV I think its just a misconception+XI vets still thinking it works lol. Hopefully over time people will figure it out.
