and realized that after the cutscene we were left alone in the town, no tutorial or in-game guideline or any help

that's not good for new players

Continue following the story line, the first portion of story line quests are the tutorial, or as close to one your going to get.

Edit: I now notice your a vet. of FFXIV did you skip the story line missions?

I know how to do it but I said there's no in-game tutorial and that's not good for new players
