Emergency maintenance notice... but no maintenance?

So twice now I've seen "We are beginning emergency maintenance" in system message purple and went to log out so I would get rested experience, and twice now I've seen no actual signs of maintenance happening. Now I'm stuck and can't get logged in because the world is full. Have people figured out how to turn their text purple to send fake alerts, or is there something else going on?

If the former is true, that REALLY needs to be fixed. If the latter is true, then what in the world is going on? There's nothing on Twitter or the launcher about it.

I logged out because of the same message and now I am getting 90000 and 10102 errors....

Lol the maintenance is on the log in sever as long as you don't log out you can continue playing while they tinker about.

it's an invisible maintenance, feeding of the poor souls who try to log in, while the one inside are slowly consumed until they are 90ked.

Same, I logged out for the maintenance and now am getting 10102 errors and can't log in

I wasn't logged in but I have same problem that is mostly error 10102 or error 90000

They didn't tell you to logout they said "We are beginning emergency maintenance."

When they want you to logout they usually give the message "We are beginning emergency maintenance. Please prepare to log out,"

There's a lot of other things you learn to do in school, such as drawing conclusions, context clues, etc. Forgive me if I assumed they weren't giving me information I didn't actually need, or simply not enough information at all. When I see "emergency maintenance" I assume down time, like obviously more than a few people do. If it was just maintenance on login servers, they could have said (as they have previously in similar situations), "We are beginning emergency maintenance. Players currently connected will continue to be able to play, but logins will be disabled for the duration."

Remember those multiple choice questions with D) Not Enough Information in 4th grade math class word problems? That's because there are some things you can't just divine from the limited information you have. I'm not sure what grade they taught that in, but I guess you didn't make it that far.
