There was just an in game message about emergency maintenance (Ragnarok.) I have yet to see anything about it on the Lodestone.
NA/EU worlds r down again today sometimes it gives me NA/EU worlds but no jp worlds and sometimes it doesn't even pop up a character and says this world is full..
Itll come back eventually, just chill until then. Good time to eat and go to the bathroom.
It's too late for them to make a second, second impression. They've already made their second first impression with the launch of a broken mess of login servers. I have no less than a dozen or so friends who were interested in this game after the failure of 1.0 who have once again been turned off by the server disaster.
Squeenix basically flushed all their good PR prior to the release of the game down the toilet by not A) Anticipating the demand B) Actually looking at their preorder numbers C) Failure to prepare for full servers with backup servers ready to be turned on D) Failure to address the current issues in a prompt manner (such as feeding their own cycle of failure by not immediately patching in an anti-afk)
So we're going to have an apology event (I hope) for a game that was an apology.
i get the na/eu servers but the japanese list is down (which is where my character is)
presumably because all the NA/EU people went to the japanese servers because the NA/EU servers were dead (to be clear, i'm not one of those people i got stuck there because i'm legacy)
Oh no down again lol, I really love the game but this is becoming quite bothersome x.x call me a fool but im still hoping the best and will still be subscribing :3

Im not one to complain about servers being down, but is there any information on it?
I don't feel comfortable with a pay 2 play game that the company won't issue an ETA (or a "we have no ETA" message) and a short description of the problem somewhere.
