I wanted to ask any high level DRG or MNK how the class flows/feels. I was a Fury warrior in WOW's vanilla era and that was the most fun I've had with an MMO. If you have experience with the warrior please relate it to that.
Thank you.

Id like to know how Monks perform at 50 as well. I can see it becoming very frustrating to keep your buffs on during any kind of fight that involves movement.
I don't know about monk, but dragoon feels great at 50. I don't know if i remember enough about fury warriors to compare it to dragoon, but the abilities flow together really well, and you get to see some nice crits from full thrust. Also, it feels awesome to jump on stuff.
Monk is awesome fun, only downside is during primal hardmodes you lose your stacks e,g when ifrit jumps up to do charhge attacks, or garuda when you must hide or she teleports somewhere, and titan when u get locked in stone or need to move etc. Wish greased lighting lasted for like 2-3 seconds longer :P Other than that its really nice class, feels good to get into the groove of your rotation and listening to some nice music
screw up your rotation tho and your dps will be poop, keep it running like a well oiled machine and you will be doing great dmg
I'm torn as well, I have a 41 Dragoon and a 30 Monk not sure which to max out yet. I have a feeling a Dragoon will be better in PvP unless they change how the Monk GL stacks work in PvP.
I havnt played a high level monk, but if you want to be close to a warrior, the dragoon is the better choice. monk has to move around too much.
dragoon has big hits, big crits, afew blood type spells that heal like fury, charge ability's, some AOE, nothing like whirlwind or cleave. but better than the monk.
I think i still like fury better though...well fury before cata...

I love how Monk plays at high end, it is fairly challenging and entertaining.
i'm still lvl 36 but dragoon is awesome when u use jump skills feels good![]()
The short duration of monks attack speed buff that stacks up to 3 times is annoying. much to short. Duration of 20 seconds or 25 would be much more better. 12 seconds is not long enough...
The simple answer is, a good mnk means adapting...and it is way harder then playing a drg in that respect.
If you have a fight that kills your rotation
1: shorten your rotation to the minimum giving you a lot of extra time to re apply grease 1-2-3-1-2-3
2: turn yourself into burst damage combos. Stack Stack Stack, burst burst burst, stack stack stack
The thing that hurts mnks the most is, that they will confuse even the most veteran of players when the situation goes wrong. You start forgetting your forms, start forgetting your positions etc. That's when you're truely screwed.
One reason I tend not to rely on macros when playing mnk. It's too easy to forget your combos, when things go wrong. Hard training your fingers is a must on MNK.
