Instead of lottery spawn they should have something like kill enough mobs and the leader spawns of that family of mobs you are killing constantly.

That some what how PH worksthe other system in FFXI. There one mob that is the PH for one such NM if you kill him long enough the next time he pop could change too the NM.

Zen re read my post you, you mistook everything I said XD
I never said yoyd was bad, just the way my server ran things was bad. Idm the yoyd. But no matter what dropped if ppc or a similar high priced item droped it HAD to be split so ppl can make money from it. If you wanted to keep the item, you had to shell out gil right there to anyone who helped. Which was = to their share if sold in some cases.
yoyd idm. the yoyd + forced slipt on high priced items was what I disliked.
If you don't understand the context I write stuff in ask b4 assuming I'm wrong. And no I had stock piles of beastmen seals.. so I loved doing bcnm. Jusy didn't like some of the crap rules. If I do a bcnm it is mainly to get hard to get items not make money, mostly ppl on my server did them for money,
think he means similar to a few WoW nms etc. In WoW there a few mini quests where to force a nm or mini boss you have to kill enough mobs to get him to come out. Which is a random number. I was unlucky and took me 3 hrs of killing to get him to pop. argh!!
Its different from lotto spawn in a sence.
in my honest opinion, the less dice rolls a game has the better. Lotto nm rely too much on dice rolls.
But all in all i just wanna have fun.
btw funny story, I was watching claddad after story and the anime had sheep similar to the sheep in ffxiv the cute fluffy sheep with the long black tail. I was like WTF... trippy.
So at the end it's just how your server ran it or your ls. I never had this issue sadly i don't think this would be a problem in FFXIV. You could do many system with ffxiv with a new bcnm type.Zen re read my post you, you mistook everything I said XD

1: You could make it so only the person who use the orb get the items, and everyone else get other stuff that could be use to sell. so you reward everyone but the person with the orb have a chance to get a rare,ex item within the chest.
2: You go do the bcnm in ffxiv at the end everyone get points you can go to a npc maybe a gob and get some good rare,es items. Everyone in the party get a amount of points. But the person with the orbs get the most. Which is like "midgardzolom" idea which now that i think about it sound to be a awesome idea.
You can get Beastman seals by killing mobs which would make players go to areas and flood area to hunt down mobs and level up and make party and such. They could be other way of getting beastman seals also. You go to a npc and you can get a orb just like ffxiv they can name it diffent or make it how every it would fit in ffxiv world.
I think number 2 would be best for FFXIV that "midgardzolom" No more crying from someone ninja lotting and players making dumb roles like you just said. This is very casual and hardcore so everyone can enjoy. But you do have to understand that the best items in the game should be a lot of point to get but still not that much that casual could never ever get it lol.
"Btw no i mean the FFXI system Like LL and VE and a lot of mobs in FFXI. There a place holder Mob which you kill and you have a dice roll for the next time the mob pop it would be the NM. You use the widescan to see which one is the ph which for LL i think it was the 4 Lizard mob in the list.

LOTTERY SPAWN!!! yes! i want that!![]()
It will be a joy! <3
ya pretty much I agree with the point thingy. And zen I tried that and still was a dice roll for me. So its imo not a proven theory. But anyway idm either way all i want is a fun game and it out for ps3 asap.
o.o PH is a Proven Theory that how it work. What by all mean did you think that was fake? i pop LL every 1hour by just killing the PH for 7hours straight so yes it is a proven theory everyone know this as a fact that why we have wide scan for.
The only thing that is a Dice roll is that the PH could or not become the NM not killing the PH it would never pop you have to kill it for it to pop.
And i can't believe you still on don't you have to work? you say your a casual player so how many hours are you going to play ffxiv for? seeing how you are here for hours. My reason for being here is i have noting else to do and i don't have a job atm thanks to my city being job less and only one getting jobs are ppl who know the manger. sorry for asking just wondering lol

Sorry to break it to you Kilta, but there were a LOT of rare items in FFXI. And yes, there is a such thing as rare items in MMOs. It's foolish to think not. There are bad MMOs where it's easy to get even the great equipment, but those MMOs don't represent the whole. Is it possible for everyone to get rare items? Yes. Does everyone have them? No. And no, I was not just using it in the context that you assumed. I was also referring to what Zenaku was talking about as well.
Should NMs be accessible? Yes. Should they be as ridiculously accessible as they are now? No. Though I don't mind that the current mid-level NMs are that way... since they are mid-level. Though I do think they should make all spawns a minimum of 10 minute pop and adjust the drop rate accordingly. Right now it's just silly that we kill the same "rare and unique" monster every 3-5 minutes over and over. There's nothing unique about the mob, since it spawns faster than the normal versions around it.
I'm also in favor of lottery NMs. Just not quite as long as they were in FFXI. Perhaps have windows of between 15-30 minutes (1 hour at most) before they enter into the lottery. It would be the exact same thing as now, but you'd be killing the normal version of the NM along with the NM itself (with increased drop rates to compensate). And when that NM spawns, you'd actually get the adrenaline going.
btw it seem that the NM in FFXIV have share pop which means, Let's say you kill a NM at this area and your ls kill other NM in other area. once your NM pop there would pop which mean you could make NM pop within 15sec of it death. Seem that what most are talking in other website. I like to know if this is true? seeing how i reset my char for the 3rd time and not that high to do them yet. if i still had my rank 44 or rank 38 i would try them out but idon't ; ;
