I understand the point of view of limiting logins so that people in the game have a smooth playing experience. But, you've trained the dog, so to speak, that logging out is a bad idea. Implementing an afk logger should have been done as soon as you realized you didn't have enough capacity to handle the demand. That's a no brainer!

As far as the compensation thing is concerned, only replacing that which is lost is not compensation that is replacement.

Definition: Something, such as money, given or received as payment or reparation, as for a service or loss.

Money is not expected obviously, but you'll have to do a damn site better than simply replacing what was lost if you want to square (pun intended) up with your customers. This has been an absolutely ridiculous launch. I would be ashamed and probably fearful for my job if I was in charge of this.
