Error 2017 (I CAN NEVER PLAY! Y SHOULD I PAY?)

I'm having a hard time trying to understand why I can not play on any servers wether it's on JP, or NA.

I will purposely take off work so I can play.. and I'm stuck starring at a "THIS WOLRD IS FULL" screen, after spending an hour creating my guy. Sometime when I log it at least gives me a que in line, but now I just get shut down with no que, or wait time.

I'm so close to returning the game. I'm a huge FFX fan, but this just reminds me of the Diablo III fail. Waited years to play, game comes out, I spend over $50 bucks, and servers are were down the first week.

Please tell me why I woke up at 6AM to play, because the 9PM time was full, and why I'm getting 1017 constantly.

FIX THIIIS PLEEASSEEE or you will be loosing a customer that has the potential to play(AND PAY) for years..

All of you guys getting butthurt over being called "white knight", and dissecting everything when that phrase is used... please grow up.

While maybe not articulated in the most "tactful" way, the OP does have a point. Queue systems are in place to relieve a user from having to waste time spamming a login button to gain access to a server ***THAT IS FULL (the guy who made the comment about waiting for spaces that are not filled... /facepalm)

Queue lines in games typically do not have a very low limit, however it would seem that the queue system for FFXIV is in place but it holds a VERY low number of slots for people to sit in, which in essence is flawed.

I was able to play for a good amount of time the past few days, but now this weekend my ability to log on has been drastically reduced, and to have to jump between the title page, pick character, and then the log on button, only to see 1017 every time is just obnoxious. Placing users in a queue allows us to get up and do other things instead of spamming the server with a request and clogging up the system.

It's not an entitlement thing either, its 2013, MMOs have been around for decades at this point, most have queues that enable a user to do other things while they virtually wait in line to get into said server.

It's like going to buy a car and it not have airbags... Its not that people feel "entitled" to an airbag, its expected because its standard in almost all cars around the world...
