You should be fairly OK with this setup I'd say. You can indeed put in better GC and / or SSD (unless you have already) but it depends how much you want to spend on it. Have you ran the ARR benchmark on it? If yes what score have you got?

Hi, i got a score of 3321 on the benchmark tool. I just find the game is slightly laggy. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a new GC as I might go grab one today.

    Thanks for the reply btw

Well - 3321 is usable but surelly at least 5k+ would be better. What mode have you selected (desktop / laptop ... high / standard)? You can try to change setting there. What also helps to increase the score / smoothness of the play is to kill / dissable and close any unessential apps and services on your PC before playing - that can gain upt 25 - 30%. Stuff like most of rubbish MS options (indexing, sharing, media etc.) can by dissabled together with various toolbars or gadgets, even get rid of all graphic enhancements of windows UI etc. Can't personally recommend really on the GC (using laptop with built in crappy GC) - on the box it says recomended Nvidia GTX 660 or higer or AMD HD 7950 or higher.

Not sure if this is in your budget, but right now Newegg has 7950s on sale for ridiculously cheap prices. I just picked up 2 of these:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814202026

Thats a $300 card for $200 bucks(theres a $20 rebate). Even a single 7950 would be a monster of an upgrade over what you are running. However, I would recommend you make sure your power supply is up to the task.

your computer can run it, however, all mmos are cpu dependant far more then gpu, though this game does make good use of the gpu, and will be more so once they bring out the DX 11 drivers.

if you stand alone in the field somewhere, you are bound to get decent frames, however, add people around you doing something like hitting a boss, my advice is, go intel, AMD cpus arent bad, intel cpus are just that good, ive got a i5 3750k thats clocked to 4.4 ghz, 8 GB ram, and a 7970 GHZ card, my settings are on max, though ive toned down shadows as this actually a cpu intensive feature, this is true for other games as well. and while i do sustain 60 fps in the world mainly on my own, in groups like some fates, it can drop to 45 fps, but in a closed raid environment, im sure it will yield better frames though im unsure how the battle log behaves.

a gpu will add some performance, but a intel cpu will do more, however, changing out a motherboard and cpu out isnt cheap, at least £200- £250

also, can already help you get more frames now

Screen Mode: Windowed - have this full screen, windows naturally pours its resources into full screen programs, windowed means it doesnt
Disable rendering of objects when not visible. (Occlusion Culling) : Disabled - have this on
Real-time Reflections : High - dont need this on, you wont notice any real difference
Edge Smoothing (Anti-aliasing) : FXAA - off, you need a better gpu with more Vram to handle AA features tbh, but if you can run at 1920x1080, you wont need AA for this game at all, its well made
    Shadow Resolution : High - 2048p, drop to 1024

    Movement Physics
    Self: Full, simple or off
Other NPCs: Full, simple or off, you dont have the cpu for it
Limb Darkening: Enabled, game looks better off imo
Radial Blur: Enabled, off as you wont notice it
    Screen Space Ambient Occlusion: Strong
    Glare: Normal
    Enable depth of field: Enabled
