    Security Token Difficulties (or potential difficulties)

    I've spent an hour or so looking over my SE account trying to find this mysterious "Account Management" area where I can find the emergency removal password for my security token. It's three years old now and I worry it will go out unexpectedly.

    Why is it so difficult to find this password on my own account?

    Hopefully you see this since its been a few days, BUT on mine (I have the software, not hardware token) if you look in menus on the left of the page you will see "add crysta", "support center" and then "Notices" button. Click Notices and in the middle of the page you should see your Square ID, registration status with serial number and Emergency Removal code.

    Thanks for the response Damnlama, but I guess it doesn't work that way for hardware tokens.

    I went under notices just to double check and it still just gives me my token serial number, which is already written on the back of my token. There is no emergency removal password.

    Thanks again for taking the time, but any other help with this would be appreciated... from anyone.

    If you are worried your hardware token going to die you can deactivate the token under "services and option" with the one-time password option and then select "Adjust Security Token (key ring type) settings" and then you can use the software token or buy new hardware token. If you lose it then you have to contact SE.
