    This seems to be an all too common problem, "giving" away levels so people can run endgame content faster seems like a huge mistake.

    The fate mechanics, exp wise at any rate, are all too reminiscent of the effects of abyssea in XI and PL parties in XIV 1.xx. Granted with fates your chasing the ones that are closer to your level, but the huge exp gains and generally mindless spamfest are about the same. No real practical job/class/role practice, and no reason to want to do anything else to level, it is a recipe for poorly skilled playing.

    What many of you are complaining about will eventually work itself out in a couple months when people dont wanna grind to 50 and begin to settle into the game, right now the FATE system is attracting a lot of players simply because they dont know any better, the game is brand new to some of us, and that being said you cant expect a lot of people to be properly geared! yeah i think the fate system doesn't help to expand ones comprehension of a job, but in the end thats what partying is for...you guys are out here getting mad at newbs for being newbs at the newb stage of a game....hell the game hasent even been off alpha/beta for a week. The way i see it is, the people who spam fates, will either get bored and quit, or they will learn to party with people in due time....what I'm really concerned about is that the fates always spawn in the same spot...and that later when RMTs are rushing to exp their characters these fates will get abused by them thoroughly

    I am not arguing that they will not eventually have enough gear to skip it all together. The basis of both of my previous comments was that they will eventually end up in a dungeon. You call it "best case." I call it the reality of the situation. Fate is solo content and dungeons are group content that rewards with gear and exp. If someone doesn't want the gear then they don't have to do the dungeon. Speed levelers will always rush through content and I applaud SE for not having a knee jerk reaction to it. They are like RMT an issue yes but a problem you can control, no.

    Well tbh its never going to even out.

    1. Nobody needs the good gear prior to lvl 45-50 so apart from using materials to grind to next crafting level they will become almost worthless or heavily flipped in the AH
    2. Side Quest only give a small ratio of xp once you into your 20+ so forced to grind mobs with bad gear and getting worthless drops or worse not getting any kills due to lvl 50's spam killing for materials
    3. No need for gear mentality will push dungeons to LS/FC parties so solo people will be punished
    4. Only fixes are Nerf Fate XP Double or Triple the hp of Trash fate mobs including the Bosses (make spamming take time and effort)

    Damage has already been done even a fix now will take 4-6 months to normalize

    Being honest I do understand what everyone is talking about. I would love dungeon play to be more rewarding, well... no. It is good enough as it is when I can get in a Dungeon as DPS. I wish I would take a screenshot every time I was Queued up for 50+ minutes in the duty finder. Waiting 50 minutes just to do a dungeon? No thanks. As a dps it is funner to follow the zerg rush and actually participate in that team play within the server I am on, rather than twiddle my thumbs and wait for a dungeon for a hour that is going to take on the side of a half hour to do.

    As far as a fix, even though I am a fan of FATES seeing as dps [or maybe it is just me as dps?] has a long wait time is to make it less appealing to do all day. For instance, you will still get the Seals for your GC. However, after the first FATE you do in the day you get only 90% exp on the next, then 85%, then 80%. Maybe take that all the way down to zero.

    I''ve boycotted the FATE system.


    I\m planning on unlocking all DoH and DoL classes and handing in the requested item every 4 hours from Prov quests (which btw are all linked across all the GC npcs) for my seals cause I SERIOUSLY can't take it anymore


    Run into an overcrowded circle to spam flash for 4 minutes for 280 seals? (Which is a good amount) SO such a mindless and lazy method compared to the rest of the content in this game.

    Guess people are in a rush to hit 50, should slow down guys and enjoy the game/world/stories and such. Get immersed guys lol.
    For me it's the journey so I mainly do quests and guild leves.

    fates are awesome , brings people together and making group its a way to get people active, (also a way to steal their energy)

    Punishing players for playing the game was one of the many reasons 1.0 was arguably the worst MMO release in the history of the industry.

    You shouldn't be punished for doing FATEs; FATEs just need to be reworked. Or everything else needs a buff.
