game crashes with sound card / onboard audio

My GFs client crashes non stop, we first tried lowering graphics and updating gpu drivers and it kept happening.

So I disabled audio via device manager and she is able to play for hours now.

Ordered an actual sound card for her off newegg to hopefully resolve the issue.

After seeing this with her PC, I noticed that mine was crashing about once every few hours and I figured it could be my sound card so I updated the drivers for it and it is now happening a few seconds after logging in.

Is this a known issue with the game?
