Oh it was, it was at a snail's pace trust me....I'll try and dig up a video of it on youtube.

    EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRiu49mOKFI

Skip to the 3 minute mark of this video and obviously ignore the lag but the cooldown was fairly long at that time...I guess they could've sped it up, I don't think it would've saved the battle system. I think for solo the battle system is decent, they need to give us better attacks but it needs touching up for party play.

    Agree 100%.

Give us more reason to be active in battle, and more abilities that actually do something. Quality over quantity.

Or... SE could just implement SE like an idiot. (sad.)

It's not like global servers even have any benefits anyway.

    1) you can't itnteract with foreign players so you're basically excluded from half the server's playerbase

2)in the event of an earthquake in one country, the other country can't play.

Oh god, that was painful. But seeing it I believe that it would have been much better if they just sped it up a lot. It would have ended up being better than the current stamina gauge. Well, that's my opinion, anyway.

Stam gauge is fine, just need auto-attack so there is progress aside from using abilities.
Please implement something similar to skillchains--timed, coordinated attacks with an added effect--and magic bursts. I'm not a fan of this regime "queue your attack and wait" system.

Why do you feel the stamina gauge is fine? Do you never run out of stamina like I do?

I agree that the old skill chains are superior to battle regimen. I can't see how the devs thought it was a good idea. Perhaps if they removed the skill queuing aspect and let the effects happen in battle as they occur, similar to skill chains, then it might be worth keeping.

I suppose cloning is an option, but they would need some massive bandwidth to have regional clones that constantly sync up with the home servers. Since I am involved in a linkshell with both NA and EU players, that would put all of us in a tough spot.
This wouldn't hurt people's ability to play together, Selbina isn't all on one physical server, neither is Saronia or Palmecia...etc. Every world is on multiple servers. So having servers in U.S. and Europe would not affect the ability to play together at all. If you don't understand what I"m saying look up WoW's servers (i hate that game but the way they did there servers is how all mmos are doing them now, and FFXIV adapted to this) Of course I think WoW does separate by region? I've never played, but using this system you don't have to separate by region if you don't want.

I feel the stam gauge is fine with auto-attack because you will be doing damage aside from abilities; now you don't have to "spam" away your stamina to progress in battle.
I do run out of stam, but it's only because while you're not using an ability your progress stops.
