    Extremely annoying crash.

Every now and then FFXIV will just suddenly make my pc completely freeze at a solid white (sometimes light blue or yellow) screen, I literally need to manually restart every time, and this only happening exclusively to FFXIV.

Sometimes I can play for hours without crashing, I didn't crash all day yesterday, now this morning I crashed twice 15 minutes apart.

    My specs:
    GTX 670 4GB
    i5-3570k
    8GB of CORSAIR RAM
    Win8

    Edit:
I think I have it fixed, I upgraded my GPU firmware and seems to work so far but my fingers aren't crossed just yet.

I have the Same Issue, however I have updated my Bios and Nvidia drivers to the latest in preparation for the launch. I have an ASUS P9X79/i7 3930K/16Gb Corsair vengence in quad channel/dual GTX670s/1200Watt power supply/600Gb Velociraptor SSD cached with a 128Gb, and another 128Gb SSD running the window 7 Prem. OS. I have run the game in SLI and also single GPU mode, with all the graphics turned down/up/almost off and still I get the same random crashes... Sometimes I can go an hour or more between crashes... sometimes it crashes I restart computer, log back in and it crashes again immediately... This is getting very annoying, I love the game so far but at this rate I will not continue playing it after the 30 day grace is over....

Its obviously something with the client then, or we just have the right combination of hardware to cause the crash.

I posted this in another thread (sorry to tired to link it) but there are a lot more people with this issue. Its on the client end of things and doesn't seem to matter what type of gpu you are running. All other system specs seem to be immaterial to this issue.

I used to have this problem. I updated to beta Nvidia drivers, cleaned the dust outta my GPU and downgraded to Standard Desktop settings, seemed to fix it - my GPU was running way too hot. Another thing I did was install GPU Temp application...whenever the game froze I'd run the app and by some strange act of voodoo the game would magically come back from not responding.

I have had my computer freeze solid only once.

However, just now as I was getting a people search ready to find some one to meld armor for me, FFXIV crashed out without warning and no error code.
