Crashed after Ifrit battle, cannot log in 6 hours later [Error 2002]

Earlier today my wife (ps3) and myself (pc) did the Ifrit battle. At the end, when it was time to go through the portal, my game crashed and I got the error code 2002. Ever since then I have not been able to connect to the server. I continue to get the error 2002 from the log in server.

I have tried everything, and still I am the only one with the issue. I know its not my connection, because my wife is able to play, and she can in fact, see me in game as stuck in a cut scene.

I left it a while ago to go to work, but now im back and its STILL not letting me connect, and STILL showing me in a cut scene. Someone please help!

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you. Suffice to say, there's no real explanation except that everyone is having troubles logging in on the servers. Best advice I can give you is to get some sleep or do something else for a while. SE claims that they are working around the clock to fix these issues, and I hope this is true. For now, all we can do is have hope and move on.

You're lucky, at least you could log in. Seriously, I've been trying to get into the game for hours and I'm still getting the annoying 1017 error.

PS3 Side, I get the Error 2002 When I log in, the Start tab is darkened, and un selectable, after about 30 seconds, it just dissconnects me with reference to code 2002. Is it a cross platform issue?
