That definitely was "a magic spell" - Zelda and Dragon "Warrior" certainly didn't have ingame maps back then!

All the RPGs were better back then.. You weren't limited. You raced to get the canoe as fast as you could. Get the airship so you can scramble over and get the rat tail just to "grow up" then go over to any dungeons you could to grab end game weapons just to go back to the beginning and annihilate all the fiends

I like the quote from FFII (I think that was FFIV in Japan? I dont remember). The fiend of fire when you use Edge's fire spell on him and he says, "Was it flame? I will show you how." Reminds me of all your base are belong to us.
