    Frame-rate stuttering and Crashes

So I currently have a machine built with 2, GTX 770 Classifieds setup in SLI. The game looks great and seems to run fairly smooth when I play in 1920x1080 on a single monitor.

The problem occurs when I try to crank it up to play the way I built my system for. I run 3 monitors, in 5760x1080 resolution, and again the system is SLI'd.

First Problem: The moment I turn on 5760x1080 resolution I get great framerates, with every 5-10 seconds a short stutter. I dont have problems with sound, its just a visual framerate stutter. Only certain zones has this issue I have noticed as well.

The second problem. I have the occasional crash (FFXIV has stopped working) kicks me to the desktop. It happens a LOT more often when in 5760x1080, than 1920x1080. But still crashes in both settings.

What can I do to fix this? It's definitely not a system issue, as I have played multiple games with the same settings, with no problems. I have the latest beta driver from nvidia as well.

I don't know how many outputs a single gtx 770 has but can you try disabling SLI and doing the 3 monitor thing with just one of them. It may be an SLI problem.

Have you tried the latest released driver? (non-beta). Possibly it's an issue with the beta driver (if it wasn't still in beta/testing it would have been released) and the only way to know for sure is to use the "stable" drivers.

I have been seriouslly thinking about trying this, I just hate the thought of having 2 770's and only using one... lmao (I think it is an SLI issue)

I havent tried the actual release driver. I can try that when I get home from work, and see what happens.

    update

I backtracked to the official release driver nvidia has, still continued to have persistant crashes. After 3 crashes, and 3 battles to get back on the servers I got fed up and disabled SLI. Magically everything ran just as smooth and no more crashes.

I am guessing SLI is not working properly, and I now have a 2nd GTX 770 as a paper weight until this is fixed. This is the only game I've had issues running SLI thus far, so I know its not the card. Hopefully nvidia releases a updated driver to fix the crashes, or the game itself fixes the issue. Although I dont see this being a priority as the servers are still a effin mess.

Yep, unfortunately this is an Nvidia problem. They are gonna have to fix it. Maybe post on their forums.

Hopefully they will release "Optimal Game Settings" for FFXIV ARR on their cards along with those new drivers.
