What gives?

So I go to log in at 7am this morning, get an 80-person queue, get hit with error 1017 at 30 people in front me, my character however logs in without me, she is STILL logged in 13 hours later, in East Thanalan, without me being able to play. I try to log in, and get this:




now, this is while my FC members on Balmung are IN GAME, texting me about how my character is in game and has been idle this whole time. I filed a report 8 hours ago, I've been trying to play all day. While I understand shit happens, and you didn't expect this many players, you still should have known how many you'd have. You knew how many people you took money from when they purchased this game, no? You knew these problems existed just from Phase 4/Early Access, no?

I'm a patient person, but when I have ONE day off, and work 14 hours the rest of the week, I would have REALLY liked to have been able to enjoy my 100 dollar game


Edit: Irrelevant update; I've apparently had my character logged in consistently since thursday night, which was the last time I was able to play.

Edit 2: A Irrelevant update, Reborn; A FC member and good friend of mine, opened a GM call regarding my character, to see if they could force log her, and neither of us have received any form of update.

I have to say. Compared to the usual nonsense that's been on this forum since shit hit the fan, THIS is actually interesting.

A note: I am in Ilitsa's FC, and I have been on since 10 am. When we became aware she was struggling to log in, another FC member opened a gm call to try to get her force logged so she would be able to get on.

This call has also still remained unanswered.

Maybe that's the real problem, all those people we see in-game aren't AFK but logged/errored out, but the game never removed them. Either way, a server reset would go a long way to fixing this kind of problem, I'm sure there are a ton of other people having the same problem and don't even know it. Give people 10 minutes warning and RESET THE GODDAMN SERVERS. But oh goodie they're raffling shit off at PAX, meanwhile a great many people can't log into the goddamn game they're showing off and trying to draw EVEN MORE people to.

Update: I finally got into game about 2 hours after making this thread. meaning I tried off and on from 7am to 10pm. SE finally responded to my support ticket regarding my log in status persisting after I log out...to tell me my ticket would be responded to in 48 hours....after I essentially resolved the issue myself

The CUE and servers are full is really messed up. I get the que sometimes and get in or lol ..woot cue 20..18..9..1017. Then I try later nothing but server full come back later.. I do this about 10min and bam no cue just right in.

I am one of those people that do log out. Others paid just like me and I dont want them to stay AFK..so I dont. So I just gave someone else my 1017 YES!

All you have to do to resolve that issue is close the client and relog back in, I've had that happen to me a few times now. After closing the client it usually can find the servers.
