    Materia Meld Animation Lock

    Earlier today I was trying to meld materia to pair of Rosegold Earrings and when I went to meld the materia, I forgot that I didn't have the catalyst in my inventory when I clicked confirm on the 100% meld success window. Instead the game went through the confirmation and said that I didn't possess the proper catalyst but instead left my character locked in the crafting table stance with a greyed out action bar.

    Any attempt to get myself out of the animation would result in the error message "Unable to perform action while Materia Melding." This included trying to teleport, trade, meld different materia, synthing and even logging out. I repeat, I wasn't even able to prompt a log out without getting that above messaged error. I submitted a GM ticket through in-game support and also via the client website but after not getting a reply for over an hour I just went ahead and force closed my client.

    This now has resulted in me getting the 3102 error that everyone else has been getting but this is besides the point. The point of this post is to let the Devs know that there is currently a game-breaking bug with materia melding at the moment for those that attempt to meld without having the proper catalyst in their inventory. I'm also concerned that I may of made my situation worse than it currently was. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Gospel. I apologize for the delayed response. Thank you for your concern regarding your experience with the Materia Meld Lock. This is definitely something that could pose a problem and should be escalated to the dev team.
    In order for me to submit your report, I would need to know what system you are playing on and its specifications. The amount of information provided is insufficient to conduct a thorough investigation of the issue and replicate the matter on our systems to resolve it.
    Also, if you could please refer to the Welcome to the "In-Game Bugs" Forum! (READ THIS FIRST) to find out what information we need in order to investigate. You can use these Windows errors and PS3 errorstemplates as guides to provide the important information to us in the clearest way possible.

    Please update us with the additional information as soon as you can, so we can further look further into this error and take measures to resolve it to improve the experience of playing the game.
