    Work around for error 1017/problems logging into servers

    Have done this twice and worked both times I kept getting Error 1017 and could get in queue to get logged into the game.

    Just Create a new toon on another world, currently only EU servers available, than attempt to log in with that new toon. It might put you in queue or just log you into that server either way just quit and go back to your original server and log in the character you couldn't before and it should put you in queue and you will be in the server shortly.

    This has worked for me twice this week when nothing else would get me logged in due to 1017 error or whatever.

    Sounds like coincidence/voodoo to me. Wife spammed our server after disconnect and I tried your method for laughs. After I made my toon on a new server, she got it in after spamming the login server normally.

    Then I did too.

    Seems there is a timer, that's it.

    it helps with the button mashing. I am using a script right now, tied to button 16 on my gamepad, it spams 0 4 times, meaning i get to the 1017 error in 2 presses instead of 4 yay me. -_-;

    Too bad all the servers are full for character creation as well. I had a legacy character but for some reason loading her crashes the entire client (never had a single crash before)

    I have found another method. You must chant, "I Love Final Fantasy. It is the best game ever" while hitting log in. If it does not work right away, it is because you have not said it enough, or loud enough. When you say it correctly, you get right in the que.
