I had a few really fun, challenging FATEs against Malboro-lookalikes in Central Shroud yesterday. Died once too. As soon as the player amount is less than half a dozen things seem to get better. Most of the problems regarding FATEs would probably be dealt with if they would scale properly even after the beginning. I'm still hoping for a slight XP nerf though, especially from non-boss enemies with multiple people attacking them.

Have you ever tried to fish at the Goblin pond in South Shroud? I swear, if another ranger decides it's fun and stylish to fight bomb-tossing goblins on the same rock as I am...

I completely disagree, I feel dungeons are a terrible leveling design myself because of the fact there will always be more than 2x as many dps as there are tanks/healers, they will always have shitty waiting times and what do you do while waiting 20-30 minutes to get in? If they made it so dungeons could be run with 4 dps I'd be all for it but until then fates are a way better leveling design than anything else you can come up with.

In rift almost everyone in the game did rifts and ignored quests, why? Because they were way more dynamic and fun to do plus you end up moving around all over the map exploring different areas. Same thing applies here.

Make them harder, make them more interesting, but don't nerf the exp.

They should nerf XP for FATES on your initial 50. Once you get to 50, then they can boost it to the current level. I would actually prefer it by roles so that dungeons would be required for the first 50 on that particular role. Only problem with this idea is only one healer, two tanks, rest are DPS. Or they could give incentive to tanks and healers when the DF is in need of said role. Hate to borrow WoW's concept, but seeing as how DF is based off of WoW's DF, a tank/healer bonus would probably help increase tanks and healers joining for the 'gifts'.

Make FATES less common and more epic, please. Make us try. Thanks.

I don't mind the fact that fate grinds are so effective for leveling. I would love it if dungeons were more effective for xp gains, however, I don't really mind the way they are now.
I'll level my classes/jobs in whatever way is most enjoyable to me and I believe the same priviledge should be available to others. Let every person that wants to skip as much content as possible just to be level 50 as quickly as possible do so. If it deprives them of learning experiences necessary to be functional during endgame content I, again, don't really care. If I discover someone isn't capable of doing certain content, I don't do that content with them. How they reached level 50 and that content is irrelevant. What matters is can they perform? Yes, hop on board. No, get practice/gear up. That's all. If I care about the player, I'll help them practice/gear up. If I don't, I'll see them when they're better prepared.

Well this isnt true at all. Just because you chose to move on from various areas before finishing all quests doesnt mean that there is a lack of them. I personaly have already ditched many quests and not picked up alot of others simply due to feeling there have been more than i would need for atleast 1 job to lv50. No i havnt been grinding fates, i only been doing the ones that spawned near me at the time of quest.

What you are saying may very well be true for secondary jobs and onwards going to lv50 but not even close for the first one.

Excuse me princess, i went from level 1 to 50 in a week from doing quests and dungeons with some fate runs in between.

DO QUESTS PLEASE, GET TO KNOW YOUR CLASS, DO DUNGEONS and stop ruining this game with "fate runs".
no one knows how to play in dungeons because they rushed to 50 with their first class(i don't mind if it's your second or third class this only applies to first timers)

Add "Madoka Kaname" on the balmung server if you want someone to play and talk with! ^_^

Pfft...try playing on one of the new worlds. Coming from Exodus and moving to Mateus, it's a ghost town lol. You all dont like having so many on FATES? Well here we dont have nearly enough. Seriously, Im lucky if I get 2 people that join in on a FATE. Most of the time the fate zones are just deserted. As a result, I really cant do FATES with efficiency. FATE overpopulation is a problem you'd like to have, trust me lol.

As a ps3 pkayer with limited hardware, i'm at a huge dsadvantage when it comes to fates. Half the time i dont even see any enemies as 100 players are soamming aoe and evaoirating the ads befire they even render on my screen. Nothing is worse than trying to get xp and have the fate disappear since the horde killed everything in seconds
