    To Heakinakai:

While what you said is true, you're committing the same crime you're accusing people of doing. You're only looking at how it affects you. Sure, it's nice that you get to level 50 fairly quickly but then what? You quit the game? You join an endgame group and compete against others that used other methods to get there? And what about the people that have more time to play? Do they have to suffer the people that would abuse this system just so you and the few that play in a similar schedule like you can get level 50 quickly?
Don't bother rushing to endgame because you need more than 1 to 2 hours a week to do anything after level 50. Enjoy the journey there instead because chances are, you'll just quit after 50 when you have nothing to do there anyway. If it's not something you want to do, maybe you shouldn't be devoting your spare time to this and instead enjoy other things in life? After all, this is just one game out of many out there.

Edit: The only point to doing fates right now is the exp gain. They don't seem all that entertaining.

Yoshi said in his mission statement that he wants people to have fun. Nerf fates to a point where they don't give much exp then you may as well just stay in the city and queue for dungeons all day, or run out do a days worth of fates and cap your seals... sounds like a great game, i'm glad you guys didn't design it.
you also shouldnt get to 50 in a month with only 1-2 hours to play at a time... getting there too fast kills the game and prevents you from properly learning your class. Too many fail people at 50.

Sometimes... getting to 50 (or top of the server) is all people live for.

I must be doing something seriously wrong (please let me know what I need to do to get crazy exp in Fates). I've never seen a 20k exp from any fate. I'm lvl33 at the moment. I've done full FATE parties and I'm an archer so I've sat there and just spammed my DoT on every single mob (trying to tag them first), do my AoE... The only time I've come close was on a couple ones that just give a lot out, like 13-15k. Those give out that much regardless though...

If they nerf the exp on FATES, I hope they retune exp on other activities. If not, come your 3rd+ class it's going to be really painful to level.

I have to wonder why the majority of posters here would rather nerf Fate experience than buff dungeon and levequest experience. Not too many people want to level at a snail's pace when they could be doing it a lot faster.

I personally don't like doing dungeons because, thanks to Blizzard making tools like our Duty Finder completely necessary to have in every modern MMO, you have people who don't bother researching the fights and just jump in blind without saying so much as "hi."

i thinking buffing dungeon exp would be nice. the key here is that people are leveling fate grinding because you can level like 10 levels in the same time you would level 3 levels doing quest and dungeons.

why not just buff up dungeon exp. like how you get a boost for having first timer in dungeons, but you get an overall boost for all dungeon ending exp. some dungeons are actually hard. it takes team coordination and planning to actually make it work. not just mindlessly spamming a key and gaining tons of exp. if you buff up dungeons exp way more than fate. people would rather do dungeons than fate.

as of right now, fate gain is 3x/4x the exp of dungeons so people tend to gravitate toward whatever can level them up to 50 first.

Tell the scrubs what they are doing wrong and correct them.

I am absolutely using FATEs to level from 47-50 since I am completely out of quests and didn't bother with doing much hunting log. I did FATEs sporadically as I levelled through quests and did plenty of instances. Is it a silly zerg fest? Yep, what a surprise with a game that's not even a month old and EVERYONE is progressing at the moment, I wonder why there's so much desperation to get 50? IT JUST MAKES NO SENSE.

I could deal with a difficulty boost or whatnot, but you know- I'd rather not go through FFXI's ridiculous hoops in order to level ever again. If you're going to complain about the difficulty there's MANY other places to complain about (gargoyle fight WAS the idiot-test to prepare people for dungeons, and they nerfed it because it was clearly too difficult... HA). For example, quests, leves, instances, and bosses are all pretty easy up until endgame, isn't that going to cause a problem at 50 more than anything?

most xp Ive gotten in a fate 20,000 and since it linked with two others it ended bieng roughly 32000 xp total for 3 fates. Thats nothing compare to a dungeon run.

Its only like this because all our levels are so close. When the players get more spread out, the fates should function as intended. Example, lower lvled fates hardly have anyone there
