They knew about the overcrowding during the head start and still haven't fixed the problem. Now this is just my thinking; and I'm far from being a CEO of a major game company, but I would make sure people could actually play a game I expect them to pay a monthly subscription for. Oh wait, they want us to pay out for 3/6/12 months in advance for prizes! This on the heels of people paying the same advance subscriptions on 1.0, and we all know how wonderful that turned out. I have no complaints as of yet with the game itself, but their handling of the servers is garbage. I shouldn't be so critical though, online gaming is relatively new after all.
