    Pet Abilities - No sound, no visuals

    I can't see or hear any of the abilities used by my pets as Arcanist, Summoner and Scholar.

    My pet's abilities are invisible and make no sound. There is also no sound when my pet is spawned/summoned. The only thing I see them do is their bodies moving, the numbers of their damage/healing, and the name of their buffs (e.g., Whispering Dawn).

    I have played with my game settings. Maximum, medium, low, custom; nothing seems to fix my problem . Can anyone help me pinpoint the problem?

    My computer specs are

    Operating System: Windows 8, 64-bit
    CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k @ 3.40 GHz
    RAM: 8 GB
    GPU: AMD Radeon 6870
    Audio: Razer Megalodon's sound card

    All drivers are up to date

    AMD Radeon HD 6800 series: 12.104.0.0 (driver date 3/28/2013)
    Edit: AMD Catalyst 13.8 Beta2 did not fix my problem either
    Razer Megalodon: 6.2.9200.16384 (driver date 7/25/2012)

    Errr...the latest amd drivers are the 13.4....but i highly recommend the 13.8 beta

    They are the first AMD drivers to officially support ffxiv and offer performance enhancement.

    Installed 13.8 Beta. Still have the same problem. :/

    I'm not able to log in right now. There is an option somewhere for player / party / npc battle effects (I *THINK* the default key is "K")

    Make sure the party / npc battle effects are set to on.

    Thanks for this. Apparently your own pet effects aren't counted as your own/your party members'. They're treated as battle effects of other players :/

    So, if I want to see my SMN pet use Enkindle on Behemoth fate, I have to "enjoy" the fireworks of the other gazillion people there.
