I'm late to the party here, but this is a beautiful thread. I have nothing really to add except saying I felt elated to see so much goodness in here.

I'm not a tank, but my secondary is an Arcanist, and I've been using my Topaz Carb in the first three dungeons grinding. And yesterday in Copperbell, I was told by my tank to switch to the Emerald Carb and I didn't understand why. I did as told because he was doing a good job setting marks and building hate so I figured he knew what he was doing, and thought it was just his personal preference. But this thread has given me the "a-HAH!" I needed.
Thanks for explaining it. This is a great thread![]()
1. DPS who have a choice of heavy armor vs medium or light armor can assist in taking small adds during a boss fight only.
2. All DPS should only attack the target the tank is focused on to avoid adds going nuts and attacking random members.
3. Classes that can sleep mobs should use this ability at all times on adds, it really does help.
4. Never ever pull for the tank, the threat from aggro is massive and even if the tank attacks it it will still focus its hate on you.
5. Avoid aggro from nearby mobs if possible, not only can you end up tanking them by accident but fighting more than 1 group at a time can result in a wipe, this isn't world of warcraft.
