Thread: Suggestion: Private Messages

I think having the ability to send someone a PM would be really useful because:

• You might find someone discussing a topic on the forum, and want to ask them more questions without derailing the thread

• You could contact them with further questions on a previous thread they have made

• Casually chat with someone

A further system could be added to this where an icon could show where your friends have posted.
As well as people on your 'ignore' list, not being able to contact you through the PM system.

I agree with PM, its a "must" of a forum
Also, bring the costum avatar option and/or the link to our Lodestone avatar (FFXIV character).

But still, I support the idea in this thread too! (Imho, the best would be to have a PM system both on the forums and the Lodestone).

They don't even need to implement it, they just need to allow us to use it. PM is a basic feature of vBulletin.

That's what I was thinking too. I wouldn't be surprised if they just went for the familiar look without actually using vBulletin

Pretty sure PM feature is going to come. I don't think they forgot that bit when discussing the forum. This forum is still in beta, too, so don't forget about that. We just have to wait a bit longer I guess.
