Actually, Yoshida said that they are "actively looking into implementing such a feature", but that the server additions are top priority to them. There's no guarantee that it's going to happen any time soon, even after the addition of more Worlds.

Frankly I feel that we need some sort of communication as to what the addition of new Worlds is actually going to end up tangibly doing for the existing player base. Clearly they want to add spots for more players - I mean, sales have been quite high so far, and many people haven't been able to play whatsoever - but for those of us who already have characters, who are already playing on the ultra-populated NA/EU servers... where is the assurance that our issues will go away? I'm particularly interested in the following quote:

...it was during the Early Access period that we had a clearer picture of the scope with which we would need to increase World capacity, and on the 25th of August began making preparations to do so significantly.
What does "World capacity" mean? This was never mentioned again in either of Yoshida's posts regarding the login issues. Is it the number of worlds? The number of active connections? I'd really like for the dev team to actually give us some transparency about their plans, considering we're all paying customers here.
