Really difficult to level up multiple classes ?

I originally created an archer as my main character and decided to go a different route and unlock the dragoon class. Instead of creating a new character I just decided unlocked the marauder & lancer guilds, after 3 days I finally reached level 15 on my marauder, So now I started leveling my lancer I got up to level 15 and have had enough of wasting hours upon hours fighting monsters to level.

I am thinking of creating a new character just so I can start fresh since I have no side quests left or anything else to get XP off of. I have been waiting 10-15 minutes to get into guild quests and do that roughly 30 times a day until I get bored of that, I do as many levequests as I can until I have to wait to do more and I also wait a minimum of 30 minutes every time to run a dungeon for reasonable XP.

I know there is a better way to level up, but how ?. I see quite a few people with 3-4 level 50 classes on just 1 character, but why am I having such difficulty leveling one class ?

You can follow Fates around. That's how I've been leveling my alt classes. Levelees too pay but you can are limited to how many you can do. Also, there are hunter quests for each class. The creatures that have the squiggly symbol above them are hunter quest creatures. There is a log for what you need in the book on your bar.

    Hopefully this helps...

Remember that you will get an xp penalty for completing quests or killing monsters lower level than you. If you have finished questing, consider the hunting log and FATES. Every non-Legacy 50 has reached that level by simply running around and doing FATE events. That is probably the fastest way to level.

    Yeah, just go FATE partying.
Pretty much the best way to do anything at this point. They made the EXP pretty Godly.
Dungeons opens at 15 as we know, but it doesn't do much justice as FATEs still get the upper hand with Exp.

I've managed to get the 2nd page on the hunting log done but I need to reach level 20 to get the next page, and for the factions I can never find any my level, it's either super low leveled factions or level 40+ factions, I still join in just to get the XP though.

Hopefully they add dailies for an added option to get XP. Also, more quests would be a good idea since there are so many different characters we can level.

Also don't forget to select ALL the laguages in the Duty Finder to cut down on joining times. Party is also good way to increase the XP gain - even a party of two players will give you almost twice the XPs as each kill is awarded alwasy to both / all players in the party as long as they're in the close proximity of each other on the same map.

Read this post, it covers the same issue: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...er-vs-Multiple

It's foolish to not use one character and level all your desired classes on it. You can easily level your first class by doing the story quests, FATEs, levels, hests, dungeons, hunting logs, grinding, ect. When leveling a lower class you get an exp bonus and you can still do everything I mentioned except the story quests; instead, you should do the side quests. It's really not a hindrance, and the exp bonus more than makes up for not being able to do the story quests.

Read the replies on the thread I linked; I replied on the third page with a more detailed version of what I've just written above.

No it is quite easy and fun and actually can help both, you need to advance each class a bit first but then it can help all of them to work them together. Enjoy and have fun.
