Is Arcanist considered healer

I just started Arcanist and noticed I got a healing spell at level 4 or such

will I be able to join party in healer role or is that only conjurer

Only CNJ [/WHTM] counts as a healer when using the Duty Finder.
You will always be considered DPS as Arc and cannot change it.

Incorrect. Scholar (Available after completing Arcanist level 30 quest and Scholar level 30 quest) is considered a healing job by the duty finder.

Nop, ACN can only queue as DPS.

Later you can be Healer if you choose be a Scholar.

As said above - it's status / icon colour is set to DPS so you'll unable to join via duty finder as healer however nothing stops you to act as one in the norma (non-DF / light) party.

I havent seen a Scholar in game yet, my bad.

Even then, you couldn't be a main healer as a Arcanist. I'm level 20 and make a great backup healer, but no way I could main heal.

I've unlocked Scholar, and do not think it would be as effective or replacement to CONJ...thats my opinion, but I prefer SUM then SCH anyways. I could be wrong I think its just to aid the WHM in difficult battles with lots of players to heal. I think WHM still be best healer.
A SUM and ARCN are listed as DPS. I not checked Scholar class.

For Sastasha, TamTara, and Copperbell Mines, if you have 2 Arcanists, you could do fine without a 'regular' healer.

For Toto-Rak+ I don't think it would work well... Unless the entire party is Arcanist.

I've run Haukke Manor and Brayflox's Longstop with a Scholar healer. Brayflox's boss was tricky because SCH can't remove statuses yet at that level, but as a tank my HP literally never went under 80% in Haukke and when aoes and adds started running around no one was ever in any danger. It just takes practice and learning to direct the fairy well, it seems.

They are pretty much interchangeable, CNJ or WHM is just easier to understand so more players are probably better it at.
