Screenshots... help please?

Hi all,

So I've been noticing some really nice screenshots being posted up on here and the Lodestone (which I've been browsing thanks to the 1017/2002/90000/login issues) and I was wondering how everyone is getting those pics without the hud? I know I'm just not seeing whatever button or option thing it is to make this possible. I can only find the Quality setting on the Start Menu's Configuration and I can't get into the game to check the in-game Configuration (not that I could see it there when I was last logged in ). Can someone tell me where the setup option for this is?

Scroll Lock hides the HUD

Scroll lock turns off the UI. :3

Or L1+Select if you're using controller (on both PS3 as well as PC) and then L1+Start to take screenshot.

And it takes a little while between screen shots before you can take the next one, just wait a bit, i am thinking they set that up so that we dont spam pictures and take up system resources. enjoy. You can choose the format of the pics.

I have a little problem with screenshots on the PS3. I get the error message that the screenshots couldn't be saved/
Anybody else seen that and have an idea what to do about it?

Yeah - it's a confirmed bug - they're working on fixing it. Also - remember that it will take a while to generate and save the screenshot so don't try to make two or more screenshots quickly after each other. On PS3 it's currently a bit of lottery - sometimes it works sometimes not ... I suspect it's some kind of the (lack of) memory issue.

I used to love spamming the pic button in 1.0 trying to get cool lightning pics on the boat or that "WOW" moment during a spell cast in battle. However what REALLY annoys me about the new system is that the HUD does not return automatically. In 1.0 as soon as you were done taking pics and released the ScrLk button, hud was back. In 2.0 you have to hit it again which can cause problems in combat and you can't see action bar!
