Where you in an instance at time. Some are capped and will sync you to it's max level (where let's say the cap is 20, but your 24, in the instance you will be level 20, but once your out it's back to being 24).

That really needs to be fixed. The game doesn't seem to be registering your new level in the instance. It saves the level the instance is showing you instead of your real level. That could become a real issue. What if a level 30 does a level 17 instance with a friend and it takes him down to level 20 and he gets dc'd, is he going to lose 10 levels?

It would seem that you're a bit misinformed. When the game level syncs you when in a instance dungeon it only does that because of stats and skills, but rest assured when you are getting EXP in the dungeon its going towards the level you were on before entering the dungeon. Once you leave out your level will reset and your EXP gained the dungeon will show.

Apparently not if you get DC'd while in the dungeon. I just looked at my character screen and my character is still showing level 20 even though I leveled. It likely hasn't happened to anyone so I am probably over reacting but I couldn't help but think the worse. lol It will likely show me at 21 as soon as I can log in. The game still shows me in copperbell.
