    Registration Code vs Product Registration Card?

    Hi Guys,

    Forgive me if this is a really dumb question, I was out on the drink last night and I'm unsure my hangover haze is making me stupid or I am just stupid in general....

    I received my my FFXIV box yesterday, I am an old 1.0 user so I am currently still able to play for free until the 09/09/13 anyway. But I was trying to register the game using my codes, so I go to sqex.to/FFXIVRedeemCodeEU as it says on the card, enter my code and it tells me its invalid?

    I also have this product registration card which I imagine I need to input somewhere as well, I don't want to do this wrong and end up registering it against a different service account or something and end up with game time on an account my character isnt on.

    Any help very much appreciated...

    At the minute there is no way to register the product on a 1.0 account i believe

    I bought the box version of the 2.0 Collectors edition for the in game items and the key. And there is no way for me to get the in game items from the code without upgrading to the digital edition at the minute (from what i have been told and read)

    So i have a useless collectors edition registration code.

    And because you have a 1.0 account you are not entitled to the 30 day free trial that is included with 2.0 accounts

    Not sure if it is the same case for you!

    The only option for v1.0 players is to get PS3 CE version as you're unable to register two PC versions to the same SE service account. That would give you both CE items (however I thing legacy players will get those anyway) plus 30 extra free play days.

    Thanks for your replies. I did not know that I would not be getting game time as a 1.0 user, it doesnt seem fair somehow, I feel like i paid for this game twice and all I got for it was early access, perhaps i should contact support and see if they can do anything..

    Hi,
    I tried contacting support and didn't even get to talk to anyone as my ticket was deleted.
    I have a V1.0 legacy character (PC) and I wanted the Collectors Ed ARR (PC). I pre-ordered the game unaware that I couldn't update my V1.0 character with the in game items. Now all I can do is pay £15 to upgrade my character.
    If I had known about this I would of tried the PS3 version. Feel like I've wasted my money. I've paid for these items but can't use them.
    Why didn't SE just have a bonus code for the items and a reg code?
    I would just like to know if there is any chance in the future of using the reg code from my ARR CE (PC) to activate the in game items on my V1.0 legacy character. Which is more than likely a no.

    I'm in the same boat here.

    I was a 1.0 player that purchased the full 49.99 ARR CE PC edition but can't apply my CE code to my 1.0 service account. There is hope. They are handling people who created a second service account using their product keys and this feels pretty similar to that issue except we haven't consumed our key. I put in a ticket explaining the situation and hopefully it will be resolved. I'd really like to get those CE items!

    I would enter in a support ticket and be as polite and descriptive as possible.
