Absolutely, this too. I never intended to leave my laptop on when I wasn't using it, but according to my father I was doing it a lot without thinking, and he said that could have been the source of the damage. I think my laptop was also getting pretty hot, which is why when I got the new HD, my dad and I popped open the case and cleaned some dust out of the primary fan vent, and then I went and bought a laptop cooling deskfan thing. I run it every time I play a game that I use my nvidia gpu for. So yes, in all likelihood it could have been heat too, meaning Skyrim and FFXIVARR beta may have murdered it. (:
The point is, I'll never be among those who leave themselves idle for hours and hours, for many reasons.
