    New aggro icon

    Some positive feedback.. *gasp*

    The old aggro icon was big, red, and obnoxious, right in your face.
    I was one of the people who just didn't want to see it. I like being able to wander into a new area and not know what might attack me. It's exciting.
    I have to say though.. this new icon was really well done. ^-^
    It's small and out of the way.. I don't need to target monsters around me as I run past them so I only have to see it when I'm fighting a monster.. And then it's really no bother at all. I barely even notice it.

    Just wanted to say good job SE! ^o^
    It was a great compromise.

    If it stays like this I don't even think I'll use a toggle to turn it off.

    I think its nice and im glad some like it, I hate its concept though and has ruined a lot of mystery.

    I was also really happy with the UI changes this patch. I really think they should all be turned on by default, though. While some people voiced a strong opinion against them, I think the majority appreciates it. By being defaulted off new players may not even realize the feature exists at all.

    I had thought about this too.. Many of the options I dislike I keep off, and after a while I forget they exist. lol A new person wouldn't even know. Would be cool if SE at least added a section to the Lodestone, giving a list off all togglable options.

    As it is I've made a list of some on a notepad:

    Activating targeting mode A will set the target filter to All.
    Activating targeting mode B will make the All target filter inaccessible.
    /targetmode a
    /targetmode b

    /aoe on
    /aoe off

    /display head off
    /display head on

    all Display HP bars for all enemies and players.
    off Hide HP bars for enemies and players.
    /hpbar all
    /hpbar off

    on Display enemy ranks.
    off Hide enemy ranks.
    /enemyrank (/erank) on
    /enemyrank (/erank) off

    on Display active (red) and non-active (green) icons.
    off Hide active (red) and non-active (green) icons.
    /enemyicon (/eicon) on
    /enemyicon (/eicon) off

    If there are any more I don't even know they exist. lol
    I agree that default should be "on" for some things. Then we could turn them off as we please.

    most mmo are set up the way ffxiv is now with the icons.
    And even still in ffxi you had a check button. Not that much mystery there. lol.

    I like seeing the levels, will make picking juicey targets easier. Or avoiding certain death easier. then again ima kill my lalafell a few times to see how cutely they die XD I loved tarutaru death was kinda cute.

    We talking about the AGGRO icon, not the level icon.

    The aggros icon concept still ruins some core game features. By existing.

    I'm sure there are still some people who will turn it off though. I would have if it stayed as it was before.
    I don't even notice it now, till I'm already fighting something - and at that point it doesn't matter. ^^
