Either way you'll have to wait. Its a nice day outside, go out, have fun, talk to other people. The situation will alleviate itself next week.
MMO's tend to have a lot of trouble within the first two weeks of release. Just be patient.
I'm sure SE staff have gone out now, having fun and talk to other people while spending money I paid for the game. Not much maybe, but I paid the whole price they asked without discounts. danmbustrds.
You can spend this time looking into Elder Scrolls Online or EverQuest Next, I know I am.
Funny thing is, the people who work 9 hours a day have a nice day outside or inside whatever job they do, but when they want to relax and play some games, they can't play this one.
When you see someones glamour with non matching boots
i spend 60 hours a week outside...
I like to spend my weekends inside playing a game i payed for.
Regardless of what people think I will not give SE a pass on this.
1) The screwed up the 1st version of this game so bad they had to try again from scratch
2) This is not their 1st MMO and should actually have a clue by now
3) Telling people the sever is full and to come back when there are openings and not giving them a method to determine when those openings appear is amateur at best
4) SE in 30 days is going to expect people to fork out monthly to continue enjoying this game, i will have a hard time to fork over hard earned cash *(no matter how small the amount) if they cannot do something as basic as AFK kicks and server capacity right.
5) When companies like SE who have released mmo's before and have watched NUMEROUS times other companies botch a release you might think they would have worked toward ensuring this BS wouldn't have happened to the extreme extent it has with this release
6) SE is already working on a limited supply of "goodwill" with this title with many of the community considering their screw ups previously .....they are quickly using up that goodwill and the communities patience. We know there would be issues...but when 5 days out from official release the same issues exist as did with the early acess days before that.......the excuse's of "give it time" are running out as fast as the little free time many of us get to actually play a game.
I gotta agree, I've been defending them left and right with my friends who saw the beta issues and said no to this game. But even I'm at my limit now, for 2 days I've spent the better portion of my free time (after work yesterday, and from 7am-9:30am today, so far, I stopped to get some food before my blood sugar crashed.) trying to log in, only to get 1017'd. Now, today, I try and the few times I don't get 1017, I got a queue with 80 ahead of me, which was AWESOME, only it got to 30, and I got 1017'd....again...while I was in queue. Now, my FC members tell me on yim, it shows my character logged in, and the few times I don't get 1017, I'm getting 2002 (lobby error). They knew how many players they had from EA, that was botched, they knew how many copies of the game were sold, I don't see why it's taking 8 days so far (counting EA) to fix this, I paid for the physical Collector's Edition, and it's basically becoming a 100 dollar(counting shipping) paper weight now. I don't expect any form of reimbursement for my free 30 day subscription that came with buying the game.... I only want what we all deserve, and that's to ACTUALLY be able to PLAY the game. I understand, everything has problems on launch, but these are problems they've known about for a long time that they waited to fix until now, maybe, I don't even know if they actually ARE working on things like they're saying anymore.
