Do you know how silly you look when you say that you don't care about DPS, then go on about how you like to find ways to kill mobs quicker? You're the one mixing up fact with your own opinions. You said you don't care, then say you do. We catch you on the hypocrisy and you cry opinion then agree with what we said, then flop back over to what you said initially.

Your misunderstanding me. I don't care about dps in the most extreme sence. Meaning I don;t care how much dmg I do. As long as I feel its good thats what I care about. By me finding ways to kill stuff faster is me picking using my spell a way I feel is good.

I don;t go to the extreme and say use a dps meter. Or calucale everything out. I experimant and just do stuff w/o a partiular order to kill a mob.

AkA i just have fun w/o too much worry.

those are differences in opinions and neither are right and wrong.
But again more importently for fighting with someone who agree with you on the topic. which is infact looks silly.

Skillchains where a pain in the ass in 11, mainly because some tit would always mess it up.

As a conjurer I can tell you now that BR's rock, I can get over 2000 damage when stacking a debuff + Profundity II + tier 2 spell at the end of a BR.

@OP, I was in the same boat as you. Until I took the time to study up on BRs, and start teaching people how to do them. Now, I won't stay in a party where people refuse to do them. A great example, today I was in a 4star leve against some imp type mobs, as the off tank. The imps kept one shotting us. I said we needed to do BRs or lower to 3 stars because I was sick of dying. They told me they didn't want to loose the SP from going to 3 stars, so I needed to suck it up and die for them. I've taken those imps down plenty of times with BR - BEFORE they did their one-shot kill. Not only have I done it but it is SUPER easy.

Engage. BR to lower defense/mdefense (depending on classes)
BR for damage multiplier.
IF the thing is still alive, another BR will kill it, if a single WS doesn't do it on its own.

No one dies. The leve doesn't take forever. All it takes is learning how to hold the shift button down when you press 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/0 or whatever (or using your emote/br button on a controller instead of the "select" button).

Needless to say, I quite the party. They can grind leves all they want, and you're welcome to as well if that is what you prefer. As I said, I was there, I used to agree with your opinion. Now, hell no, no way, ain't gonna happen. BR's are awesome, crazy, quick, and most important, fun.

I'm not trying to change you opinion either if you find fun in calucaling your dps more power to you. I don't that is the opinion I have. So saying i don;t care to much about dps is not a right or wrong opinion. It is just how i feel/think.

And by you're example your trying to state facts not opinions. You are stating that the sky is red and that is a fact. If it think the sky is red and that is your opinion. Cool id wonder if you had a rare form of color blindess and ask you to see a doctor. Same with the drunk, he is stating a fact that he is not drunk. Now If he stated that he don't think he is drunk, different story as he may not know what being drunk feels like.

Fact and opinions are on a fine line when it comes to wording them.

If I am mixing fact with opinion, then so are you. Again, opinions can be wrong. I think you should take a few courses in Sociology and Philosophy lol. Let me give you another example. Let's say that you think...Conjurer is the best overall mage in the game. Now, that is your opinion. Let's also say that...stats and numerous tests have proven THM to be the best mage, as fact. In this case, your opinion is wrong.

Also, I know that you agree with us on the topic, but I also want you to understand parts of other posts made in this thread, such as the validity of an opinion.

I hate battle regimen...
If anything, BRs only achieve one thing: to further enable the player to watch tv or talk on MSN while playing. Its a system designed to pay less attention to what you're doing in the actual game.

I actually love and enjoy BR's very much, my shell showed me how to use them and how to raise my DPS and take down the mob or mobs faster by using them. In my opinion I don't think it make's you pay less attention to what is going on in the game and I have one simple reason for this:

Timing.

To make a BR work properly the player must have good timing, you must get 'X' amount of Light and Heavy off within 'X' amount of time. Once that is done then the player must get off their Magics and WS's within a specific amount of time. This makes me pay more attention to the game! I actually listen to the person in our group who's telling us when to do what, and then do what I need to do within that limited time frame. If the players timing is off it messes it up and makes people wait in queue for a longer amount of time...

I agree with the few people who said that maybe you haven't done a proper BR... especially if you're watching TV, chatting on MSN, etc... while trying to do one.

@reika apparently i dunno but on high hp mobs 13 or so ranks above brs done right can one shot them.
