I't s impossible to play this game without playing at late night...

I'm EU player and I'm really disappointed. The only way to play this game is to put the alarm after 1:00am and start to play... Is it possible? I'm working during the week, now on weekend I have the time to play and it's not possible to login due to many server issues (error 2002, server full and blablabla).
What they are doing? They put several maintenances and they didn't solve anything.
Now also the lobby isn't working.

I can agree with you. I am an north American player and I have to play on a japan server just to get any sort of game time. I played the first FF14 and now I can't even log in for more than an hour on the Japan server until i'm D/c'd to allow more japan players to log in. This makes it extremely hard to get anything done in game and I know im like everyone else when it comes to paying for a game not to get to play it for any substantial amount of time. Less than an hour a day in an MMO means no progression, kills the excitement for the game, and breeds discontent for the company that makes the game. Just FYI killing afk bots would be a great server population solution.

Hey I'm an NA player and I'm like you and generally can't get logged in until late night.
I've tried repeatedly this morning since about 9:45 AM and never got it. Now I'm here venting my utter frustration.

I only got less than 2 days worth of play in during Early Access and now I'm into my subbed game time and can't play at all.

I was able to log in late last night (it was after 11PM) and could only stay on for about 2 hours before I got too sleepy and needed to quit. However in my desperation I remained logged in at the inn but came back this morning to a crashed client.

Part of me just wants to throw my hands up and walk away from this. However once you're in the game it is just such a wonderful experience.

From what I read, after they are finished focusing on upgrading the data centers, duty finder clusters, and adding more worlds, I think they are looking into adding an auto-logout function for players that are AFK after a certain amount of time.

I generally can't login between noon and midnight. By the time I get a chance to play I'm too tired to. It would be nice to tell people I'm having fun playing the game, but I'm barely getting a chance to play.

Be persistent.

I cannot stress this enough. Just keep trying to log in, and within 5-10 minutes (maybe as many as 15 on peek times) you will make it in. I log in about twice a day, and always a 5-10 minute wait, and this is on Excalibur which is one of the (if not the) most populated servers. I often log in at 5:00pm and 9:00pm (which 9-12 is their "peek" time) with very little issue.

The most important thing that I have noticed is that you do NOT keep mashing the button, as sometimes it will not 1017 and actually put you into a queue. If you hit the button while in queue, it cancels the queue. Once in queue, with one exception, I have always gotten in when my turn came.

I just did the above (about 5 mins ago) to log in to Excalibur this afternoon. I had a little more trouble than before because the actual login servers were being hammered (it was that busy), but I still got in in about 15 mins.

Everybody know they will add new servers because they aren't brainless and don't want to lose so many players...
