Same here. I doubt that they are getting 1017 on the JP Worlds, and to try and start a new post in the forums is impossible for me as I keep getting a message that my character is not high enough. A lawyer friend who has played FF since day one is so pissed off he is considering a class action lawsuit against Square-Enix for deceptive practices.

You're lawyer friend must be new to law >.>. This will be an open and close case. Software lawsuits are a lot different than regular civil suits. And he would have a lot more luck getting this filed if he filed for the correct suit (Collective action); but he is a lawyer right? In any case, I've played every day since EA and have been playing long hours (sometimes more than 12 straight hours) and log on and off between each session. Perhaps it's the world that is the problem because even when I have an elongated 1017 error, it only take me MAX 20 minutes to get in. But of course, It's faster to do this on PS3 than PC so I may be at an advantage here.
