5 hours and counting, started with 1017 error without even loading the character screen (how exactly do you know the world is full if you can't select a character to login with?), and has since been unable to populate na/eu worlds.

I've said this in another post, if memory serves, but I'll say it here again in hopes that SOMEONE at SE is listening (fat chance).
I started my MMO life with FFXI (Hades ftw). I suppose I was lucky enough to come in at a point when the game was just past launch enough to be stable. I played years and can not remember a single time when I had issues with the game (other than its direction).
Fast forward to WoW's release (and a preemptive shut up, fanboy). Oh man were there issues. Loads! However, why is this a totally different situation? Because of one very simple fact: This is a RELAUNCH.
Allow me to explain how this all works. Company announces game > Company develops game > Company announces closed beta > Company uses information gathered from number of beta applicant to gauge interest (read future server load) > Game is available for preorder > Company again uses said information to gauge popularity (again read future server load) > Game goes into open beta > Game is released.
There are MULTIPLE times in the past two years where SE has had the opportunity to examine and make decisions on information they've collected, so to say anything like "They weren't expecting this to be as popular as it is" i simply naive. They knew full well the kind of server loading they'd be dealing with, unless there was some willful ignorance on their part, which I would not be at all surprised to find out.
So no, I do NOT have patience with SE on this. It's a complete and utter failure on their side to properly asses the data they had at hand.

same hear now i cant connect at all error 2002
was unabe to get us/eu servers or unable to connect now nada. nothing was bad now its out of the pan and into the fire.
This is just stupid , i wish they would do something about it to fix it, if it isnt 1 hour trying to log in, then they just close access to alot of us so we can't even try to log in...
I got lucky this morning, it only took 15-20 min of spamming 0 to get in. But this afternoon, trying to complete a quest line so I could dungeon with friends, I got disconnected (error 90000) then spent the next 2 hours trying to get back in (2002, 1017 and just not loading).
For those of you that running as admin worked, congrats! Unfortunately, I tried that multiple times, and it did nothing (start still greyed out). I even tried rebooting my computer. I suppose I should feel glad it didn't take me 5 hours to get in, but neither seems acceptable to me. It'd be one thing if I was placed in a 2 or 5 hour queue, but to actively have to try to get in for that amount of time is insanity. I seem to recall there being some games that give priority status to people that were disconnected--maybe by giving priority to anyone that was logged in less the 5 min ago? That may be a little much to hope for, but at least a larger queue?
