Has anyone looked into hatching tide being a more involved puzzle?

I'd just like to check and see if anyone has done things like:
-explored regions looking for any other related changes
-checked out all of the cities to see if anything else has changed

Anyone done any testing/experimentation in this regard? I was thinking of poking around myself but I have limited free time and I don't want to do this if someone else has already tried it.

I have tried killing Spriggans/birds to see if they would drop event eggs, but no such luck.

Yeah, it starts to seem like it truly is just time-released content.

I'd be nice of them to tell us this...

Tried painting the hat with the blood of ten spriggans, I think I made it angry.

Do we know if anyone has tried crafting with the hat or eggs?

To quote the lodestone's hatching-tide descriptor.
Even as we speak, the Dreamer's congregation continues to grow, but is this phenomenon truly a result of the masses belief in the prophecy Jihli sings, or is it something else that drives them, something less divine? It was only after further investigation, that I learned Jihli is offering specially crafted "egg caps" to all those who assist her in preparing for the Hatching Hour. Could it be that material lust is the true driving factor behind this festival's popularity?
