I had 2002, couldn't close the game either. After about 20 mins of 2002 and trying to close the game I just killed it from the task manager and restarted it. Now I can see chars on NA/EU but get 1017 when trying to access them, and on the JP chars it won't even populate the list. Going to take a break then try logging in again later.
