I don't think it's an exaggeration. I literally had the same issue yesterday. In my experience the servers usually open up every 30 mins or so, but lately (For me at least) after 30 mins of trying the lobby will shut down preventing you from getting in, then reopen and leave you to try and spam login again. I was at it for (yes 2 hours) before giving up. Tried again for half an hour later and just figured it wasn't worth the time.

I'll just wait for these issue to be fixed, It's not worth being frustrated about

Try logging out right now and see the folly of your own exaggeration.
Weekend congestion is ridiculous, consider yourself lucky to even see 1017 error. Now it's mostly 2002 or 6001, can't even get to character screen.. or if you thought you luck out, it's usually straight 10102 connection lost that follows. It took me almost 2 hours on Saturday just to see the 1017 and subsequently another 30 minutes to finally log in. Today? I'm fast approaching that 2 hours of 2002/6001/10102, and have yet to see a single 1017.

I'm starting to miss 1017, funny as it sounds.. 1017 actually gives me hope.

yesterday I try to play for 6 hr, but that doesnt mean Im going to leave my pc on all night so I can play early...

I woke up, do my stuff try to log in... check youtube... netflix... crunchiroll... and keep checking if I can log in

not true yesterday i watched 2 movies and 3 anime episodes while i had the game in windows mode pressing a single button till the game eventually just gave me the 2002 error so yes 2 hours is consivabl.

Hey guys while we get fixes on the loging issues and sever congestion issues why don't the people who just keep logged in (you know who you are) do the rest of us a favor and just log out while you're not playing and let the rest of us experience the game.

there is no bazzar and no reason to really stay logged in, right now it's just so you won't get the infamous 1017. but maybe things will go a little smoother while the fixes come if we all put in our little effort to alliviate the congestion.
