Hatching Tide hats?

At a glance I see a Dodo, Apkallu, and a Chocobo... now I know I've received Apkallu and Dodo eggs as loot. Not sure what the Chocobo has to do with this besides the Chocobo Egg Cap and possibly those feathers in the picture.

I also see a Spriggan under the desk with an egg, which you can read about in the text next to the pic.

Last note I have on this picture is that there are some odd items on the desk, some bottles... possibly dye. But what I'm really getting at is that fancy contraption, looks kinda like the Alchemy symbol to me. If crafting is involved in this quest, maybe it has something to do with an Alchemist turning an Archon Egg into one of the other elemental eggs like Fire Archon Egg.

After drifting off into slumber, she was supposedly visited by twelve magnificent Archons who descended from the heavens on brilliantly colored eggs. As she stood in awe, one of the Archons stepped forth, placed his hand on Jihli's shoulder and whispered into her ear, "Rise, young Dreamer, and make ready the vessel for our return." The remaining Archons then began to sing, reciting the one hundred and twenty verses of the Dreamer's Gospel, and only when the echoes of the last line had faded did Jihli awake a changed woman.

Could be a lot of dialogue to this event o_O

well.. update doesnt do anything. nothing new. im so baffled by this event. ive tried alchemy also to no avail.

Let's just get a bunch of paint together and start trying to paint the hell out of Archon Eggs, Egg Caps, Dodo Eggs, Apkallu Eggs...

Turned in everything they asked for the hats described by the NPCs, then gave 1 of each element, astral, and umbral to Ziggy waaaaaaay back at the rear of Nanawa mines for the Chocobo.

Also, the Darkened eggs I found in Copperbell on the bottom floor (where the ants are).

Meh, I kind of lost interest in this entire quest once I discovered it wasn't some intricate puzzle we had to work out, but instead an exercise in camping spriggans. Oh well, still better than bells, but I'm a little disappointed.
